The open design of the columns on each side of the MHI-1600 allows air to flow past the ion-producing pins and dust collection plates in greater volumes. The increased air flow results in better negative ion distribution and an increased ability to capture more dust and other particulate.

Effectively Removes Allergens & Other Pollutants -- The high negative ion concentration produced by the MHI-1600 effectively removes just about any type of airborne pollutants. This includes allergens, chemicals, odors, bacteria, viruses, and other types of contaminates.

High-Density Negative Ion Output -- It uses 12 stainless steel needlepoints (i.e. negative ion generators) to generate a high concentration of negative ions. The needlepoint ionization method produces a higher level of negative ions than any other method.

Multi-Directional Ion Distribution -- The MHI-1600 is designed to allow the air flow moves easily and freely through the columns in each side where the ion-producing needlepoints are located. This allows the negative ions to be effectively distributed in any direction.

Dust Collection Plates -- The ionization causes a strong, magnetic attraction between the particles and the plates. These corrosion-resistant stainless steel plates are very easy to remove, and extremely simple to clean. Just pull them out, wipe and dry them off, then put them back in to begin purifying the air again.

The MHI-1600 does not require a fan to effectively purify the air, making it almost completely silent. Elevated Location -- When placed 5 feet or more off the ground, the negative ions will be better distributed. It is not absolutely necessary to place the unit high off the ground though, but placing at 5 feet more off the ground can provide more optimal coverage.

Open Area -- It should not be blocked off so air cannot pass through and around the unit. Doing so will limit its effectiveness. Also remember that negative ions cannot pass through physical objects, including walls or floors, so you should place it somewhere in the room that is open to the rest of the room.

Near Source of Pollution -- The closer you can place the MHI-1600 to a source of pollution, the more effective it will be against that source of pollution. If you have a strong odor problem, you can gather together multiple units nearby the source of the odor until it is eliminated, or reduced to your satisfaction.

Nearby Those Suffering from Respiratory or Related Health Problems -- If you are not able to place MHI-1600 in the room, you may want to focus on areas where they spend most of their time.

Small Areas -- Ideal for smaller areas like bedrooms, walk-in closets (prevents the growth of mould keep the clothes smelling fresh), bathrooms, personal office space, etc!
